About Ethan & Mimicry Creations

About Ethan

My name is Ethan (He/Him)! You can find me online under the name Mimicry Cosplay, and I am a type 1 diabetic, self-taught maker and award-winning cosplayer whose skills include 3D modeling, 3D printing, molding & casting, sewing, leatherworking and more. I have had an interest in prop and costume making since I was young, however discovering 3D printing and its costuming applications in late 2020 lead to me picking up my skills in 3D modeling, prop finishing, and later cosplaying as a whole.
Since the beginning of 2023, I have also regularly worked with the small business Turtle Smithy, producing a variety of costume accessories as an extra set of hands in their shop.

About Mimicry Creations

I started Mimicry Creations in 2021 shortly after purchasing my first 3D printer. Many of the digital 3D print models for cosplay props and accessories I found online were low quality or poorly designed for 3D printing, so I decided to learn how to create my own 3D models that would meet my specifications. Soon after, I decided to start posting my models for sale online under Mimicry Creations (Previously IntentionalDraw), and ever since, I have been creating 3D models, 3D prints, vectored patterns and more for both myself and other cosplayers to use in our prop and costume making ventures.
